This is the long-awaited unit that you need to convert your smaller model kits into full RC operation!
Features:
- 50mm diameter
- 7in motor compartment
- 5in battery compartment
- Ballast tank sizes customized to your needs
- Typical ballast tank sizes by model:
- Revell Type VII 1/72: 5" length
- Moebius Seaview 1:128: 10" length
- USS Seawolf 1:144: 3" length
- Typical ballast tank sizes by model:
- Completely pre-wired and ready for your battery and receiver
- Single brushed main propulsion motor
- Twin brushed ESCs (one for motor, one for pump)
- Geared ballast pump
- MM15 magnetic on/off switch with built in 15A fuse
- Full static diving capability
- Twin shaft capable with optional gearbox add-on
To power twin shaft boats such as the Revell Type VII, the optional twin gearbox is required. This gearbox is mounted permanently into your model, making installation of the cylinder exponentially easier than trying to mate two shafts at the same time to your motor shaft.
NOTE: These cylinders are built to order on a custom basis. Please allow 4 weeks manufacturing lead time prior to shipping.
200 Series SubDriver
The ballast system for these systems is an ingenious and simple configuration that offers full static diving capability without the need for high-current pumps and solenoid valves.
To dive, the water pump fills the ballast tank, and the air that is displaced is vented out of the model through the vent tube, leaving a small amount of residual air in the tank.
To surface, the pump reverses, but the restricted vent does not allow water to flow through the air intake. A partial vacuum is created in the ballast tank as the water in it is evacuated, expanding the air pocket and resulting in positive buoyancy. When the intake breaches the surface, air flows into the tank and pressure is equalized, pumping the remainder of the ballast tank dry at ambient pressure, greatly reducing current draw and pump times.
